FIND IT ROBOT
The dealership search system for vehicles and keys.

FIND IT ROBOT remembers where a vehicle or key was last reliably seen and helps your employee find it. Select the vehicle and tap SHOW CAR or SHOW KEYS. If the item is nearby, its PING!Tag™ flashes and pings. If it is not nearby, tap the map to see where it was last detected, go to that area and activate the tag again.

Stop searching. Start finding.

What FIND IT ROBOT is:
A one-time-purchase dealership search system that uses a custom iPhone app and Bluetooth PING!Tags™ to help employees quickly find tagged vehicles and keys.

What FIND IT ROBOT is, technically:
A custom iPhone app and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tag system that records where every tagged vehicle and key was last detected on your lot. Participating staff iPhones detect nearby PING!Tags™ as employees move through the dealership, building a location history for every tagged item.

FIND IT ROBOT PING!Tags™ are motion-aware, fleet-configurable tags with two flashing blue LED lights and a loud 85 dB electronic PINGER! Every tagged vehicle and key carries a smart location history showing the last ten places it was detected.

Tag it. Forget it. Find it.

What FIND IT ROBOT does:
Finding a vehicle or key begins with a button, not a walk around the lot. Select the vehicle and tap SHOW CAR or SHOW KEYS. If the item is nearby, its PING!Tag™ flashes and pings.

If the item is not nearby, tap the map to see where its tag was last detected. Go to that area and tap SHOW CAR or SHOW KEYS again. The flashing blue lights and electronic pinger help identify the exact vehicle or keys.

What FIND IT ROBOT costs:
Everything below is a complete package — custom app, PING!Tags™, training and launch support included. One price. You can even pay half down, half on delivery.

50 cars — $7,900  (1 rooftop, $158 per car, 150 tags included)
100 cars — $9,400  (2 rooftops, $94 per car, 300 tags included)
200 cars — $12,100  (3 rooftops, $60.50 per car, 600 tags included)

The fine print: Three PING!Tags™ per car — one on the car and one on each key. Need more tags later? 150 @ $12 each, 300 @ $11 each, 600 @ $10 each, down to $9 each at case quantities (972). Tags are reusable: when a car sells, pull them and rescan them onto the next one.

What about support:
Priority Care is included for the first year and gives you direct access to FIND IT ROBOT founder, Tim Gavern, for questions, troubleshooting, training, and technical help. After the first year, it’s completely optional at $50 per month or $600 per year. Decline it and nothing happens to your software — your FIND IT ROBOT app is yours and keeps working normally.

What lot loss is costing you:
Dealerships lose time and money every day when keys are misplaced, vehicles are moved to the wrong row, and salespeople walk the lot instead of selling. Most dealers have never put a number on that lost time. We built a calculator that does.

What FIND IT ROBOT needs:
The iPhones already in your team’s pockets. Every participating iPhone running the app becomes a scout. As employees move through the dealership, their iPhones quietly detect nearby PING!Tags™ and update FIR’s last-seen information.

FIR does not need fixed receivers, gateways, antennas, cabling, or building-mounted hardware. The dealership’s normal movement helps the system remember where its vehicles and keys were last reliably seen.

What it takes to start:
We build a custom iPhone app for your store using overhead maps and search zones that you help us create. Once the maps and zones are ready, we train your PDI team to scan each vehicle’s VIN and assign its tags. One tag goes on the car’s rearview mirror and one tag attaches to each of its two keys.

The app is installed on every participating staff member’s iPhone. As employees move through the dealership, FIR begins building and updating the last-seen history for every tagged vehicle and key.

How employees find a vehicle or key:
First, select the vehicle in the FIND IT ROBOT app. Tap SHOW CAR to activate the tag on the vehicle or SHOW KEYS to activate the tags on its keys.

If the vehicle or keys are nearby, their PING!Tags™ flash and ping. If they are not nearby, tap the map to see the last places where the tags were detected. Go to the most likely location and activate the tags again.

The map shows the employee where to continue searching. The flashing blue lights and electronic pinger identify the exact vehicle or keys.

What about range:
Bluetooth range varies depending on tag placement, surrounding vehicles, walls, buildings, key-storage systems, and actual dealership conditions. Longer range increases the likelihood that participating iPhones will detect a tag, but Bluetooth does not provide a continuous live location.

FIND IT ROBOT records the locations where participating iPhones detect each PING!Tag™. The more participating iPhones moving through the dealership, the more frequently the last-seen information is updated.

How current is the location:
The map shows the last places where the PING!Tag™ was detected. Because a vehicle or key may have been moved after its most recent sighting, FIR does not represent an old detection as its current location.

The location history tells the employee where to continue looking. SHOW CAR or SHOW KEYS identifies the exact item when the employee reaches it.

What about batteries:
PING!Tags™ use user-replaceable batteries. Battery life varies depending on tag settings, activity, and actual operating conditions. The FIND IT ROBOT app alerts staff when a tag’s battery is running low.

What about Android:
FIND IT ROBOT runs on iPhone today. Ask us about Android.

Who it’s for:
Salespeople chasing a deal, porters moving inventory, PDI teams processing vehicles, and managers running the floor — everyone whose day depends on finding the right vehicle or key quickly.

What FIND IT ROBOT measures:
FIR’s most important measurement is not theoretical radio range. It is how long an ordinary dealership employee needs to find the correct vehicle or key. If FIR consistently turns a ten-minute search into a two-minute search, the system is doing its job.

What FIND IT ROBOT isn’t:
FIND IT ROBOT is not GPS, a traditional Real-Time Location System (RTLS), or a continuous real-time tracking system. It does not require fixed receivers, gateways, antennas, cabling, or an installer in a truck.

FIR is a dealership search system built around the custom FIND IT ROBOT app, Bluetooth PING!Tags™, and the iPhones your team already carries.

What’s the catch:
FIND IT ROBOT’s location history is created when participating iPhones detect nearby PING!Tags™. If a vehicle or key moves without passing near a participating iPhone, the map will continue to show where it was last seen until another iPhone detects it.

There is no long-term contract and no fixed infrastructure to replace when technology changes. Your FIND IT ROBOT software is yours. Priority Care is included for the first year and completely optional after that. PING!Tags™ and iPhones are yours to manage.

“Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
