About this policy:
This is the FIND IT ROBOT™ privacy policy. It explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We wrote it in plain English because that’s how we write everything.
Who we are:
FIND IT ROBOT™ is a product of Dude, Where Is This Car, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Our website is finditrobot.com. You can reach us at the contact info at the bottom of this page.
What we collect:
When you buy from us or contact us, we collect your name, your email address, your shipping address (for PING!Tag™ orders), your billing address and payment information (for all orders), and your dealership name if you provide it. If you sign up for the FIND IT ROBOT™ Club, we collect your email address. We don’t collect anything from you that you don’t give us.
Why we collect it:
To process your orders — we need your name, shipping address, and payment info to ship you PING!Tags™ or schedule your Dealer Package install. To answer your questions — if you contact us, we keep your message so we can reply. To send you the emails you signed up for — if you join the FIND IT ROBOT™ Club, we use your email address to send you updates.
Who we share it with:
We share only what’s necessary, only with the companies that help us run the business. Stripe processes all payments — they see your payment info. We never do. UPS, USPS, or other carriers ship your PING!Tag™ orders — they see your shipping address. Mailchimp sends our emails — if you sign up for the FIND IT ROBOT™ Club, they see your email address. We never sell your information. We never share it with advertisers. We never give it to anyone who isn’t directly helping us deliver something you asked for.
How long we keep it:
Order records are kept as long as required by tax and accounting law — typically seven years. Contact messages are kept until your question is resolved, then we delete them. FIND IT ROBOT™ Club email addresses are kept on our Mailchimp list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Your choices:
You can request your data — email tim@finditrobot.com and we’ll send you what we have on file. You can request deletion — email tim@finditrobot.com and we’ll remove your information, except records we’re legally required to keep (like order receipts). You can unsubscribe from FIND IT ROBOT™ Club emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email we send.
Cookies:
Our website uses standard cookies to make it work properly — keeping items in your cart and similar basics. If you log in as a site administrator, WordPress sets login cookies that last between two days and two weeks depending on whether you select “Remember Me.” We don’t use cookies to track you across other websites.
Embedded content from other websites:
Articles or pages on this site may someday include embedded content from other websites (videos, social posts, and similar). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if the visitor has visited those websites directly, which means those websites may collect data about you according to their own policies. We’ll keep this policy updated as we add any embedded content.
Children:
FIND IT ROBOT™ is a business tool for car dealerships. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy:
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced by email to active customers.
